In last week’s newsletter we were encouraged by my beautiful, brilliant, and MUCH older sister (😉) Dr. Tammy Barnett, to “remind ourselves that God (Light) is right behind the rain.”

I used to work as a Counselor at a domestic violence agency when I lived in Philadelphia a little over a year ago (shout out Domestic Abuse Project of DelCo (DAP)!) Being my first job after earning my Master’s Degree, I was blessed to say that I really enjoyed my job and beyond that, I loved my clients even more. I always tell my clients that I learn much more from them than they will probably ever learn from me.
When my children were younger, I took great pride in knowing their needs before they asked. And I don’t mean the essential needs that are necessary for survival... I’m talking about those other needs, that I could often tell they were trying to figure out exactly how to ask for.
