Content With Not Having Answers

We all want answers!!!!

Sometimes for the purpose of explaining the why or how. And other times to make sense of the why not or how so.

Doesn’t matter what the question, situation or circumstance is; when we feel as though we know the result, the end game, or the reason behind it all, we usually can come to a point of peace. It all makes sense when you have the pieces to the entire puzzle.
But, there are many times when we don’t.

Times when we are left trying to figure out why they did what they did, said what they said, or situations that just didn’t pan out like we expected them to.

By nature, I’m a fixer. I have struggled in the past when things didn’t come together like I orchestrated in my head or on paper. I’ve felt the highs of great success when all has gone according to my plan and the lows of paralyzing defeat when they seemingly haven’t. But through both, I try hard not to forget that God is yet in control and continues to have the final say.

And while He consistently choses not to run His plan, nor result by me; John 13:7 is a gentle reminder that like He told Peter, and I paraphrase - that’s just how He operates.

Jesus answered and said to him, “What I do you do not realize now, but you will understand here after"
