Founders Note

When I first started my social media platform, Unwrapping Imperfection, the message was designed and dedicated to helping those who may be seeking a deeper understanding of themselves as they go through and overcome their own unique struggles. It was the flower from which the seedling for OnPoint was created. The message was driven by my desire to acknowledge the hardships and inspirational moments shared amongst wives or significant others of a professional whose career success typically involves moving. As a collegiate coach’s wife I’ve watched as many women do not have the resources to assist them during the upheaval of moving to an unknown city, not knowing anyone and being left to navigate the waters on their own.

Whether finding the best school for the kids, securing the best doctors (and don’t dare forget a veterinarian), looking to embark on a new career or simply getting to know the local culture I started to imagine the benefits of creating the OnPoint Retreat . I pictured a circle of women who would appreciate the significance and the value of having these resources readily available. This bonding experience would allow for a plethora of networking, the ability to build connections and most importantly for women to empower one another. I wanted to gather women together, to create a community, a village of love and strength that would become their own oasis and a significant part of their personal journey.
