Worry or Trust

There’s not a day that goes by without forcing us to think about some decision, choice or option:

  • SHOULD I______?

  • DO I_____?

  • IF I_____?

are typically never too far from my thoughts or spoken out loud if I’ve reached out to someone in my tribe available and equipped to handle “Tammy’s World” on any given day.

The easier days include filling in those blanks with simple things like:

  • SHOULD I... go to the grocery store?

  • DO I... need to buy that purse?

  • IF I... don’t finish that task today, will I fall too far behind?

Oh, that life would always be a collection of such simple decisions. But it’s not, so it’s more likely that those blanks are filled with more of these:

  • SHOULD I... consider that offer?

  • DO I... say something to that person who was wrong?

  • IF I... don’t stand up for what I believe, what does that say about me?

Any number of those above-mentioned scenarios could cause so much anxiety from worrying about what to do or say. And I wish I could tell you that I have a life void of worrying, but I can’t.

However, what I can tell you is that when worry tries to creep in, I remind myself about how much I TRUST GOD and His process with 1 Peter 5:7

Casting all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you

I can also tell you from personal experience that the two; worry and trust, can’t coexist.  So, you have to decide between the two. Here’s a hint, the more you trust God and His process, the more He shows up...And the more He shows up, the more you realize that worrying was a waste of time. Use your time wisely✨
