What Will You Unwrap

For many, the holiday season will at some point involve gifts being exchanged, opened and enjoyed. From Christmas to Hanukah, to Kwanzaa (and a variety of celebrations in between); the idea of presenting an item that expresses the spirit in which it was given, is often a part of the holiday festivities.

Personally speaking, Christmas has and will always be one of the most special times of year for my family. And while typically a lot of time is spent trying to figure out just the right gift (as Iโ€™ve shared with you before; I start shopping early in the year), there is a certain amount of selfish pleasure I get when I see the reaction of friends and family when Iโ€™ve nailed the perfect ๐ŸŽ

And we all know that look, right?! That look that moves from the excitement of unwrapping to the delight of discovering that it isnโ€™t...potpourri, a self-help book or a kitchen appliance....(oh and no hard feelings Todd & Tori, those were all gifts that I really appreciated๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿค”)

Of all the gifts Iโ€™ve received over the years, Iโ€™m most grateful for the gift of parents and loved ones that have played a major role in my knowing who God is in my life. Simply put, itโ€™s truly the gift that keeps on giving๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

Oh now letโ€™s be clear though....Iโ€™ve been shaking the boxes and checking to see how many items under the tree have my name on them๐Ÿ˜, thatโ€™s for sure....But I will end Christmas Day like I end all others....Thanking Him for the most precious gift of allโ€”HIS SONโœจ

โ€œThanks be to God for his indescribable gift!โ€
