Just a Girl Having Fun...

Right, wrong or indifferent, I’m often accused of not being spontaneous enough by my family and  friends. They tease me about not being able to move past what’s scheduled in my phone, iPad or on my desk calendar. And I’m fairly consistent with reminding them that while I may not throw caution to the wind as often as them; I still know how to have fun and enjoy a good time.

Well I guess my niece, Phoenix, has been eavesdropping. While I was visiting Cincinnati (where she lives) recently, I had planned an auntie (I’m Tita) funday for us...It was to be filled with all the things I thought she’d enjoy....But as I went down the list of options, she wasn’t that impressed.

We landed on a sleepover at my Mom’s/her grandmother. According to her, we would wake up the next morning and she’d tell me what would be next...lol. So after we got up the following morning, I explained to her that I needed to stop by my hotel room to begin packing for my return home the next day and it wouldn’t take too much time and then we’d be off to the hash browns and chocolate milk breakfast she’d requested.

Well, once we got to the hotel, I jumped right into keeping on task, and was focused on cleaning, reorganizing and packing (not immediately realizing that items were oddly enough being pulled back out of my luggage)...Because for her; trying on her Tita’s clothes was “on task” and a lot more fun🤣!!!
My niece reminded me in just those few moments, the impact of a joyful heart and how there’s a time and place for everything...And THAT particular time and place was for her, as evidenced by the pictures below😍

“A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up bones.”
