Backward, Forward, Inward

It’s important to look at what we have done AND how we have done things in the past. In some cases, the reason for doing so is for the sole purpose of not repeating—While in other cases it’s to be reminded of the paths to success.

Preparing for what lies ahead in any scenario involves our attention to be focused on the necessities required to get there and the essentials that we need to keep us there.

No matter which direction we are going or reflecting upon, be it backward or forward; I would suggest we look inward before making a move. Because as we look inward, we allow ourselves to be reminded of the pains and/or joys of decisions of the past. And with the same level of introspection, we evaluate just how much we’re willing to give of ourselves to move towards what is beyond our present.

While we’re all being forced to take a hard pause, and for many, using this time to rest and reflect; I’m choosing to be particularly selective about what I’m leaving behind and what I know I need to move forward.

Lamentations 3:40 guides us...

”Let’s take a good look at the way we’re living and reorder our lives under God.”
— The Message Translation

I can’t think of a better use of our time right now…

How about you?
