And Just Like That...

Patience is a theme that resonates through this walk of faith that we are on. And mastering the ability to be patient, requires us to truly understand the value in waiting on God and accepting how He choses to move on our behalf.

I have shared so many times in this “Perfectly Unwrapping” space the variety of ways that waiting on Him shows up in our lives and builds character that reflects one who is committed to trusting God.

But there are times when He doesn’t make us wait. Times when as soon as we ask, we see the manifestation. And I’ve toiled with trying to figure out just how is it that God decides to move quickly in some situations, while not in others. I’ve wondered if it depends on our desperation, our need and/or desire, or is it something more complex (or more simple for that matter).

I couldn’t come up with a definitive answer and I’m not sure that there is one. But as I reflected on all the teachings, sermons, books and songs that have ministered to me over the years; I’m content with His timing, no matter how swift or slow it appears or feels to me.

After I ask and believe in my heart that He has received my prayer and petition, it’s done...SIGNED and SEALED! Now, it may not happen or look exactly like I expected, but it’s sure to be DELIVERED—-Just like that!

...I am the Lord; in its time I will do this swiftly.
